Civil and Family Law Department

Within this Department we render professional legal aid within the scope of the broadly understood civil law. JKM i Partnerzy provides assistance in the area of property and non-property relations between spouses and relatives, as well as in the area of all aspects of family relationships.

Consequently, the Firm advises its clients on matters such as divorce and separation, as well as matters directly arising from them, such as alimony and parental custody. Family law cases are conducted taking into account the difficult character of such cases and the emotions and feelings which accompany them. Therefore, in addition to the professional approach to each case, our assistance is characterised by empathy and a deep understanding of every problem.

In the area of property law, the Firm handles cases related to the right of ownership, including: the transfer of ownership of property, the institution of limited property rights. Furthermore, we handle cases concerning estates and enterprises.

The Department also deals with matters of succession law, which regulates the post-mortem fate of a natural person’s estates. We support our clients in all succession cases, including in particular the acquisition, rejection and division of inheritance, as well as the acquisition of particular items by means of testamentary legacies or specific bequests.
